Blogpost for Thursday the 29th -

On Monday I helped Chelsie with her slideshow in Irfanview.

On Tuesday we got to turn a regular photograph into a colouring picture. I did a picture of two flowers that look like this;

And turned it into this;

On Wednesday I started to work on the background for my Independent Project. So far I have the lockers and a school door. I have to cut them out and place them on a hard surface, like cardboard, to even stand it up.

Today is Thursday and I will continue to work on my Independent Project. I'm going to cut out the lockers and the door, and place them together. I will also make the small things for my aliens, like backpack/books.

Tomorrow is Friday and it's a PD day!

Blogpost for Friday the 23rd -

This week in Communication Technology I finished my Yearbook Ad Slideshow. I saved it under an .exe file so I can't post it on on my blog. It's upstairs in our school front foyer for the day and make for the week. I think I could have done better with it and made it more creative, because I like my friend Chelsie's more. We did the chapter 13 quiz last week and I got 7/7. I also thought of some ideas for my Independent Project. I'm going to be making the locker background on cardboard so it stands up. I also celebrated my 18th birthday on friday. My birthday was on the 22nd but the party was friday and it was funnn!to meeee!

Monday and Tuesday I was not here for CommTech.On Wednesday, Thursday, and Today I continued to work on my slideshow. Here's 2 slideshow pages of what my slideshow is going to be like;

I will then put pictures from the yearbook after each slide like this.

This week we also were to work on our Independent Projects. I need to make my characters and get the backgrounds down.

This week in CommTech I worked on my slideshow. It's going to be based as a yearbook Ad. The first slide looks like this:

I'm going to have a 'who, what, when, where, why, and how' slide pages for this slideshow.

The who section will have pictures of some students from Korah. What what section will be about what will be in the yearbook; picturs of the OSAID event, Seussical, and many more. The where section will have pictures of the places Korah has been too; Do the DU & Duke of ED. The why section explains why you should by the yearbook. And the how section will explain how you can get this yearbook; where to buy it & how much it costs.

This week I also made the actual buttons. The Korah Grad and my quoted one. Today I got a button that looks like this;

But the apple above ^ is actually an green apple mac icon.

Blogpost for April the 1st ;

This week in Commtech I observed the screenprinting process. Chelsie screenprinted a shirt, based on her martial arts. I also finished my design brief. It is going to be a stop motion claymation. I recently bought playdoh and am ready to start making my characters. This is my description of what my animation will be like;

For my design I plan on making it a school related background. With printed out lockers in the background. I will then make little characters that look like aliens to substitute for students, and make a bigger alien for the teacher all dressed up. 1 is the bullied alien, Alien 2 is the bully, Alien 3 is Alien 1's friend, and Alien 4 is the teacher. I will have a day 1, day 2, day 3, and a day 4 scene. For day 1, Alien 1 is walking in the hall, and Alien 2 will knock the books out of Alien 1's arms on the floor. On day 2, Alien 2 bullies Alien 1 once again; steps on Alien 1's work while the alien is working on his homework at his locker; Alien 3 is sitting with him. On day 3, Alien 1 is sitting alone, and Alien 2 starts to go and make fun of him. Alien 3 shows up with Alien 4, and Alien 2 gets caught. On day 4, Alien 1 and 3 walk in the hallways while Alien 4 is in detention writing lines saying, I will not bully. This will be a different background scene, a classroom scene. This will be a long period of working time, with all the stop motion pictures, but it will send the message out clearly. I will place these pictures in windows media player to create the animation and make sure each picture has the appropriate timings.

This week we also had a quiz on our digital terms. I think that went pretty well. And today is April FOOLS!

This weekend is the easter holidays with a 4 day weekend, ecstatic!
